FIRE ENGINEERING BRIEF (FEB)
The objective of the FEB is to obtain approval for the fire safety design from key stakeholders, and to inform the design team of the issues that are required to be addressed during development, in order to obtain approval.
The FEB will include fire safety design strategy, to address any expected non-compliances as well as a preliminary list of essential fire safety measures in a trial fire design to just relevant BCA non-compliance.
ProAct Fire Engineers will:-
Undertake preliminary discussion to develop an understanding of the project
Set out, discuss and agree in principle, methodologies to be adopted with the relevant key stakeholder prior to developing a full Fire engineering Report.
FIRE ENGINEERING REPORT (FER)
The purpose of the Fire Engineering Report (FER) is to take the intent and agreed concept of the FEB to a more fully detailed and documented design.
This will also set out to achieve formal approval of the fire safety strategy by all relevant stakeholders including the PCA.
This includes the development of a detailed analysis, and validation of specific non-compliances addressed and highlighted during the FEB stage.
